Slabs

Factory-Direct Natural Stone Slabs — Wholesale Supply

Natural stone slabs are the foundation of the dimensional stone industry. At Phoenix Power Stone, we produce granite and marble slabs across 200+ stone varieties from our own quarries and partner quarries across China. Our 108,000 sqft factory in Shandong — one of China's premier stone processing regions — houses gangsaws, automatic polishing lines, and resin treatment facilities capable of producing over 200,000 square meters of finished slabs annually.

For importers and wholesale distributors, buying slabs factory-direct eliminates middleman margins. You gain control over block selection, quality grading, and production scheduling — critical advantages when supplying large-scale commercial projects or maintaining consistent retail inventory.

Slab Types and Applications

Granite Slabs

Granite slabs are the workhorse of the stone industry. With exceptional hardness (6-7 on Mohs scale), low water absorption (<0.4% for quality grades), and resistance to scratching, heat, and chemicals, granite is the preferred material for kitchen countertops, commercial flooring, building facades, and exterior applications. Popular Chinese granite varieties include:

  • G654 (Sesame Grey) — Medium grey with consistent speckling. Our best-selling export granite for paving, cladding, and flooring.
  • G684 (Pearl Black) — Dark grey-black with uniform color. Excellent value for commercial projects.
  • G623 (Rosa Beta) — Pink-grey granite popular in European markets for building facades.
  • Absolute Black / Shanxi Black — Deep uniform black. Premium countertop material, comparable to Indian Absolute Black at more competitive pricing.
  • Maple Red / Multicolor Red — Warm red tones for decorative applications and feature walls.

Marble Slabs

Marble slabs offer timeless elegance with unique veining patterns that make each slab one of a kind. Softer than granite (3-5 on Mohs scale), marble is ideal for interior applications: bathroom vanities, feature walls, flooring in low-traffic areas, and decorative furniture. Chinese marble varieties gaining international recognition include:

  • Calacatta White — White background with bold grey/gold veining. Comparable to Italian Calacatta at a fraction of the price.
  • Panda White — Distinctive black-and-white pattern. Popular for statement interiors.
  • Nero Marquina — Deep black with striking white veins. Dramatic, sophisticated.
  • Wooden / Coffee Wood Marble — Warm brown tones with wood-like grain patterns. Trending for 2026 interiors.

Slab Quality Grades Explained

GradeCharacteristicsTypical UsePrice Level
A / First ChoiceUniform color, no visible cracks, minimal natural variations, consistent polishPremium residential countertops, luxury hotel lobbies100% (base)
B / CommercialMinor color variation, small natural pits acceptable, slight veining differencesStandard countertops, commercial flooring, wall cladding70-85% of A
C / EconomyVisible color variation, natural fissures acceptable (may need resin), smaller usable areaExterior paving, industrial flooring, budget projects50-65% of A

Always specify the required grade in your purchase order. At Phoenix Power Stone, we default to Commercial (B) grade or better unless the client specifies otherwise — we find this offers the best value-quality balance for most importers.

Surface Finishes

The same stone looks and performs dramatically differently depending on its surface finish:

  • Polished — High-gloss mirror finish (80-95 GU at 60°). Brings out color depth and veining. Best for: interior countertops, feature walls, luxury flooring. Not recommended for wet exterior areas (slippery).
  • Honed — Smooth, matte surface without shine. Softer, more natural appearance. Best for: bathroom floors, high-traffic commercial areas.
  • Flamed — Rough, textured surface created by thermal shock. Excellent slip resistance. Best for: exterior paving, pool surrounds, driveways.
  • Bush-Hammered — Uniform dimpled texture created by mechanical hammering. Decorative and slip-resistant. Best for: exterior facades, plazas.
  • Flamed + Brushed — Flamed then wire-brushed for a worn, antique texture. Softened slip resistance. Best for: heritage renovations, Mediterranean-style projects.
  • Sandblasted — Fine, uniform roughness. Subtle texture. Best for: decorative panels, signage, monuments.
