Ordering & Shipping
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Standard MOQ is one 20-foot container (approximately 400-500 sq m of 2cm granite slabs, or 20-27 tonnes depending on stone density). For smaller trial orders, we can arrange LCL (less-than-container-load) shipping at a higher per-unit cost. Contact our sales team with your requirements and we will find the most cost-effective shipping solution.
How long does production and shipping take?
Standard production lead time is 15-25 days after order confirmation and deposit receipt. Ocean freight transit times: 18-22 days to Middle East ports, 22-30 days to European ports, 14-18 days to US West Coast, 28-35 days to US East Coast. Including customs clearance and inland delivery, expect 6-10 weeks total from order to delivery for most destinations.
What payment terms do you accept?
Standard terms for first orders: 30% deposit via T/T (telegraphic transfer) to start production, 70% balance before shipment after quality inspection approval. Established clients may qualify for L/C at sight or T/T against copy documents. We also accept Western Union for sample orders only.
Can I get samples before placing an order?
Yes. We provide free stone samples (typically 10×10cm or 15×15cm) for quality and colour evaluation. The client covers courier shipping costs (DHL/FedEx/UPS, typically $30-$60 depending on destination). For larger sample quantities or custom sizes, material costs may apply.
Product & Quality
What quality standards do your stones meet?
We test to both ASTM (American) and EN (European) standards. Key tests include ASTM C97 (water absorption), ASTM C170 (compressive strength), ASTM C241 (abrasion resistance), EN 1926, and EN 1936. Test certificates for your specific production batch are provided with each shipment. Our factory is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
Can you match a specific colour or finish?
We can match most standard granite and marble colours. For custom finishes (honed, flamed, leathered, bush-hammered, sandblasted), send us a reference sample or photo and we will confirm feasibility. For large orders requiring batch-to-batch colour consistency, we reserve a single quarry block to process the entire order from one source.
What is your thickness tolerance?
Standard thickness tolerance is ±1mm for tiles and cut-to-size pieces, ±1.5mm for slabs. Tighter tolerances (±0.5mm) are available for premium architectural specifications at additional cost. Each order includes a dimensional inspection report for randomly selected pieces.
Technical & Installation
Can granite be used outdoors in freezing climates?
Yes. Dense granites with water absorption below 0.3% (ASTM C97) perform excellently in freeze-thaw conditions. All our outdoor-rated granite — particularly G654 (Sesame Grey) and G684 (Pearl Black) — meets this threshold. We recommend a flamed or bush-hammered finish for outdoor slip resistance, and sealing before the first winter.
Does natural stone need to be sealed?
Yes. All natural stone is porous to some degree. Granite should be sealed annually; marble every 6-12 months; limestone every 4-6 months. Sealing is a simple DIY task — clean the surface, apply impregnating sealer, let it absorb for 10-20 minutes, wipe away excess. A bottle of sealer costs $20-$40 and covers 200-400 sq ft.
Can I install stone tiles over underfloor heating?
Yes. Natural stone is the ideal flooring material for radiant heating systems. Stone conducts and retains heat better than ceramic tile, wood, or vinyl. Ensure the heating system is commissioned and tested before tile installation begins, and use a flexible polymer-modified adhesive and grout to accommodate thermal expansion.
After-Sales
What if stone arrives damaged?
All shipments are insured. If damage is identified upon delivery, photograph the affected crates and stone pieces before unpacking, and notify us within 48 hours. We will file an insurance claim and arrange replacement or credit. To date, our breakage rate is under 0.5% — well below the industry average of 2-3%.
Do you offer any warranty?
We warrant that all stone products meet the specifications agreed in the purchase order. If a material defect is confirmed to be our responsibility, we will replace the affected stone or issue a proportional credit. This policy has been in place for over 20 years.
